Poster Making Competition with theme "Engineering & Technology""

On some special occasion (say Engineers Day on 15 September) various events can be organised for students. Poster making competition is one such event and the theme can be according to the special occasion. Let us assume such a competition for Engineers Day and proceed with the discussion.

Can you list 5 such occasions or themes for Posters!!!

Significance of Poster making event:

Since from childhood students love to play with colors but as they grow up, such activities are quickly replaced by professional courses activities. This is a good thing as per the course. But sometimes due to lack of time and proper funding, it is difficult to organize an event in short time. Any technical event would demand thorough preparation as well as proper funding. So with all such limitations, Poster making event comes for our rescue as it only needs participation and almost zero funding (excluding Prizes and Certificates). The Posters can be linked to a theme of a professional course, a special occasion, a significant social aspect or an environment awareness competition. 

Advantages and Limitations of Poster making event:

Advantages includes:
  • Minimum finances needed by organizing team.
  • Minimum preparation with significant participation.
  • Event can be extended for open audience.
  • Variety of Themes to choose from.
  • The participants can be asked to prepare poster at home and bring for display on particular day. This saves time required to conduct event.
  • Participants can show their creativity freely without hesitating.
  • No special preparation required for participation, only love for drawing and colors will work.
Limitations includes:
  • Require proper space for display of every poster which might be difficult if participation is more.
  • Need active organizers to finish process of mounting all the posters before judgement time.
  • Since various events might run parallel, Audience might find poster display less attractive. As such Poster event hall can also host a second event to attract audience.
